GD90 Trace main features
1. High-purity tantalum discharge cell and ion source structure that are easy to clean
2. Effective low-temperature cooling to minimize the gas background
3. Equipped with both needle-shaped and block-shaped sample cells
4. No mass bias for light/heavy elements
5. Use 180Ta and 181Ta to quickly check the electron multiplier and Faraday cup, ensuring response consistency
6. When other inert gases (e.g., krypton) need to be used, low gas flow rates provide greater cost savings
7. Capable of analyzing alloys and high-purity samples (both conductors and non-conductors) in various forms
8. Low sputtering rate—under routine analysis conditions, the sputtering rate ranges from 100 nm/min (non-conductors) to 150 nm/min (conductors); when lower rates are required, the sputtering rate can be reduced by at least another factor of 5.
9. RSFs and detection limits are derived from published and easily traceable methods
10. The front-end device can be customized with a dedicated glovebox for nuclear material applications as required by the user
Specifications:
The GD90 Trace, as a high-resolution double-focusing glow discharge mass spectrometer, enables full elemental analysis from major elements (wt%) to ultra-trace elements (ppb to sub-ppb) in a single scan. The ion source and analyzer of the GD90 Trace are constructed entirely of stainless steel.

Company introduction:
Mass Spectrometry Instruments Ltd (MSI) is a highly specialized company dedicated to the design of high-performance magnetic sector double-focusing mass spectrometers for both organic and inorganic analysis markets. It inherits the technology of Kratos Analytical, a pioneer in the introduction of commercial mass spectrometers in 1957. Since then, the demand for high-precision, high-resolution instruments has grown exponentially. At MSI, we are making significant progress in taking this technology to new levels through investment in new developments and applications.
