CCD Dynamic Range
CCD dynamic rangerefers to:
The ratio of the maximum light intensity (exposure) that can be detected to the minimum light intensity.
DR = (Nwell - Ndark)/σread, whereNwell: full well electron count,Ndark: dark electron count.
From the above equation, it can be seen that the main factor affecting the dynamic range is readout noise.
