MiniPIX BASIC Timepix Photon-Counting X-ray Detector
A basic miniature low-power radiation camera integrating a single Timepix chip (256 x 256 pixels, 55 μm pixel pitch), with sensor specifications customizable to customer requirements.
Model: MiniPIX BASIC
Brand: Advacam

Introduction
The standard MiniPIX BASIC is a mature particle counting and tracking camera (formerly MiniPIX TPX Standard). The detector integrates a single Timepix chip (256 x 256 pixels, 55-micron pixel pitch), and its sensor specifications can be customized according to customer requirements (standard configuration is a 300-micron thick silicon sensor). The device supports a maximum readout speed of 55 frames per second (with an exposure time of 1 millisecond). The Timepix detector is energy-sensitive, adding a new dimension to radiation imaging.
The MiniPIX BASIC detector connects via USB and is controlled by the completely free PIXet Pro software, compatible with all major operating systems (MS Windows, Mac OS, and LINUX).

The MiniPIX BASIC Flex detector is connected via USB interfaceand is powered by the freely provided PIXet Pro softwarefor control.

General Parameters

Typical Applications
Medical X-ray imaging, materials analysis, or radiation monitoring
Crystallography: X-ray diffraction, small-angle scattering, or wide-angle scattering. Even thick samples or internal structures can be analyzed
Energy-resolved gamma-ray imaging: scintigraphy, single-photon emission computed tomography, isotope radiography
Radiation monitoring: particle type discrimination, energy spectrum analysis, direction-sensitive detection
Gamma camera: achievable with additional hardware (must be ordered separately)
Compton camera: gamma-ray imaging based on Compton scattering, equipped with a dedicated image reconstruction software module

Company Introduction
Advacam S.R.O. originated from the Institute of Experimental and Applied Physics of the Czech Technical University, and is dedicated to providing silicon sensor fabrication, microelectronic packaging, radiation imaging cameras, and X-ray imaging solutions across multidisciplinary business areas.
The core technical feature of Advacam is that its X-ray detectors (based on the Timepix chip) have no gaps, resulting in outstanding performance in non-destructive testing, biomedicine, geology and mining, art, and neutron imaging. Advacam maintains strong project collaborations with NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) and ESA (European Space Agency), and its products and solutions are also applied in the aerospace field.
