X-ray Channel-cut

We can fabricate channel-cut monochromators with different crystal orientations and sizes according to customer requirements, including Bartels monochromators.

Introduction

Since a channel-cut crystal is cut from a single crystal into two faces, the physical properties of the two faces are completely identical, and each diffraction curve overlaps exactly, resulting in a high integrated reflectivity. After multiple diffractions, the angular width of the crystal itself can be effectively reduced. Therefore, reducing the diffraction angular resolution of the各级 monochromators in the beamline can effectively improve the energy resolution of the outgoing beam.

Channel-cut crystals offer advantages such as fast tuning, high transmission efficiency, narrow energy bandwidth, high collimation, dispersion-free operation, and simple structure. We can fabricate channel-cut monochromators with different crystal plane orientations and sizes according to customer requirements, including Bartels monochromators, primarily made of Si and Ge. Our surface treatment process for channel-cut crystals achieves good intensity and resolution even without polishing the crystal surface.
