Introduction

An important property of CVD diamond is its extremely high thermal conductivity. At room temperature, the thermal conductivity of diamond is five times that of copper. At the same time, it is also an excellent insulating material. Therefore, diamond films can be used to fabricate X-ray light source anode transmission targets, X-ray windows, and X-ray fluorescent screens (doped with N/B), among others. Applications of the optical properties of CVD diamond. Diamond has high spectral transmission over a wide wavelength range from ultraviolet to far infrared. Combined with diamond's excellent mechanical and thermal properties, diamond films become excellent optical window materials that can be used in harsh environments.
