Dual-Energy X-Ray Flat Panel Detector Reveal™ 35C

The Reveal™35C is the world's first single-exposure dual-energy X-ray detector for both fixed and mobile/portable applications. It utilizes KA Imaging's proprietary dual-energy patented technology SpectralDR™: dual-energy subtraction (DES) X-ray has two different energies inside: one is good at highlighting soft tissue, and the other is good at highlighting bone. Three different images can be obtained (conventional DR, soft tissue, and bone), allowing visualization of the lungs and soft tissue without bone blocking the view, and identification of calcified tissue.

The Reveal™35C features a unique three-layer stacked design for easy integration and high quantum efficiency. Unlike other dual-energy solutions, the Reveal™35C requires only a single X-ray exposure, using the same radiation dose as a conventional chest X-ray, to eliminate motion artifacts, achieve bone and tissue separation, and enable lateral dual-energy images for the first time. The Reveal™35C has received FDA 510(k) clearance in the United States and Health Canada license.
